Nikola Tesla

                          Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was an engineer and scientist known for designing the alternating-current (AC) electric system, which is the predominant electrical system used across the world today. He also created the "Tesla coil," which is still used in radio technology.
Born in modern-day Croatia, Tesla came to the United States in 1884 and briefly worked with Thomas Edition before the two parted ways. He sold several patent rights, including those to his AC machinery, to George Westinghouse.
Tesla studied math and physics at the Technical University of Graz and philosophy at the University of Prague. In 1882, while on a walk, he came up with the idea for a brushless AC motor, making the first sketches of its rotating electromagnets in the sand of the path. Later that year he moved to Paris and got a job repairing direct current (DC) power plants with the Continental Edison Company. Two years later he immigrated to the United States.
Tesla lived his last decades in a New York hotel, working on new inventions even as his energy and mental health faded. His obsession with the number three and fastidious washing were dismissed as the eccentricities of genius. He spent his final years feeding—and, he claimed, communicating with—the city’s pigeons.
Tesla died in his room on January 7, 1943. Later that year the U.S. Supreme court voided four of Marconi’s key patents, belatedly acknowledging Tesla’s innovations in radio. The AC system he championed and improved remains the global standard for power transmission.

10 facts about Nichola Tesla-

1. HE HAD A TREMENDOUS TALENT FOR VISUALIZING INVENTIONS—BUT WAS ALSO PRONE TO OTHER STRANGE VISIONS.

2. HE PIONEERED MANY SIGNIFICANT MODERN INVENTIONS BEYOND ALTERNATING CURRENT.

3. HE HAD EXTREMELY REGULAR, EVEN OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE, HABITS, AND WAS A GERMAPHOBE.

4. HE ELECTRIFIED BUTTERFLIES AND BLEW OUT POWER STATIONS IN COLORADO.

5. THE SECRET PURPOSE OF HIS GIANT TOWER ON LONG ISLAND WAS THE WIRELESS TRANSMISSION OF POWER.

6. HE WAS BORN DURING A LIGHTNING STORM.

7. HE HAD AN OBSESSIVE PERSONALITY.

8. HE WAS A GERMAPHOBE.

9. WE CAN CREDIT HIM FOR THE IDEA OF WIRELESS INTERNET AND SMARTPHONES.

10. THE U.S. GOVERNMENT THOUGHT GERMAN SPIES WERE USING TESLA’S CREATIONS.

Ammonium phosphate

Ammonium phosphate Ammonium phosphate  is an ammonium  salt of orthophosphoric acid. It is a highly unstable compound with the  formula (NH 4 ) 3 PO 4 . Because of its instability, it is elusive and of no commercial value. A related "double salt", (NH 4 ) 3 PO 4 . (NH 4 ) 2 HPO 4  is also recognized but is too unstable for practical use. Both triammonium salts evolve ammonia. In contrast to the unstable nature of the triammonium salts, the  diammonium phosphate (NH 4 ) 2 HPO 4  monoammonium salt (NH 4 )H 2 PO 4,  are stable materials that are commonly used as fertilizers to provide plants with fixed nitrogen and phosphorus. PREPARATION OH AMMONIUM TRIPHOSPHATE Triammonium phosphate can be prepared in the laboratory by treating 85% phosphoric acid with 30% ammonia solution: ...
